Businesses all over the West End have been pulling through these hard times together with the amazing support of the community. It is this social fabric that makes the West End such a great place to live. Over the last few months, Elio’s top REALTOR® Soriah Kanji has been sponsoring the West End Farmers Market, ensuring the essential service remains fully functional for the amazing community that it serves.

Community events in the West End like the farmers market are a foundation of the livelihood of residents and vendors alike. While top Elio REALTOR® Soriah is able to support local growers and vendors, the community that has been suffering the lockdown restrictions is able to benefit once again from fresh, organic, and local products, as well as the benefits of social interaction.

The West End Farmers Market is keeping safety as its number one priority, with requests for one person per household and physical distancing measures firmly in place. As you enter on Thurlow Street you will begin the one way system through the line of vendors. A ‘Shop, Don't Stop’ recommendation is in place to keep all of its visitors safe, though fear not, you still have time to pick up your favourite treats from the carefully curated list of vendors.

We recommend stopping by Salt & Harrow Farm at stands 6 & 7 for some organic, community owned goodness. As one of the largest community owned farms in North America, Salt & Harrow’s approach defines what it means to be a good community member.

After a short walk up to spot 17 you’ll find Wild Foraged who will be more than happy to educate you on the amazing flavours of the forest. With wild mushrooms in abundance in British Columbia, Wild Foraged have been sustainably harvesting this amazing natural resource and sharing the health benefits with their customers.

If you’re stocked up on food and looking for liquid sustenance instead, you’ll be pleased to find Forbidden Fruit Winery and their award winning organic wines, as well as Odd Society Spirits for something a little stronger. Get your bread and cheese from A Bread Affair and Little Qualicum Cheeseworks and you have yourself quite the weekend culinary line up! For the full list of vendors head to the handy map, plan out your visit in advance to ensure a safe and responsible experience for all.

Our top REALTOR® Soriah will be in attendance, supporting the organizational efforts and taking in the warm community vibe monthly. You’ll find Soriah there next on August 22nd, September 12th and October 10th. Come and say hello for information on the farmers market, its vendors or the West End community and real estate!
